Hungarian Cultural Center and the Hungarian Film Society present
Milky Way (Tejut) by Benedek Fliegauf Wednesday, October 8, 7:00pm
Milky Way (Tejut): 2007, 82 min. by Benedek Fliegauf

Mise-en-scene triumphs in Milky Way
by cult Hungarian filmmaker Benedek Fliegauf ("Forest," "Dealer").
Winner of Locarno's Filmmakers of the Present competition, Milky Way is
comprised of nine beautifully composed, fixed takes of landscapes in
which people and objects move within—as well as in and out of—the
frame. A self-described "ambient movie", Milky Way
offers a mini-narrative that is surprising, funny, mysterious and
poignant. The film’s carefully crafted soundscape by Beke Tam is as
important as the visuals. (Hungarian with English subtitles)
