The Ellis Island Museum in New York will present on 28 June, 2012 the mixed media short Ah, Amerika! By István Orosz. The screening will take place as part of the opening event for the exhibition Merika by the Rijeka City Museum (Rijeka, Croatia) and the Croatian Consulate General in New York. The exhibition, as the film, depicts the stories of the immigrants headed from East Central Europe to the United States between 1880 and 1914, whose port of embarkation was Rijeka (Fiume).

How to get there:
Guests to the exhibit opening should purchase their tickets ahead of time on the Statue Cruises website, which is http://www.statuecruises.com/ Please click on "Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Tickets" and then "NY Battery Park." The boats depart from Castle Clinton in Battery Park in Lower Manhattan.
All visitors will need to be screened by security prior to boarding the ferries. Please print out the invitation and bring it to the ferry departure point. You should look for the National Park Service Rangers at the security screening tent, identify yourselves as guests and show the invitation. There will be a special screening line for invited guests. You will then pass through airport-type security screening.
To arrive on Ellis Island by 2:30 pm, plan to take the 1:30 pm Statue Cruises boat from Battery Park. YOU SHOULD ARRIVE AT BATTERY PARK NO LATER THAN 1:00 PM TO ENSURE THAT YOU BOARD THE 1:30 PM BOAT.
The ferry will stop at Liberty Island first. Please be advised NOT to disembark on Liberty Island, but to remain on the boat.The boat will discharge and pick up passengers and then depart for Ellis Island.
